Pete Ulatan 2012 Self Portrait

Below is my self portrait for 2012. Using a few steps that I’ve toyed with from my  Leticia Ribeiro Camp set, fueled my inspiration for this technique which I call, the Flare Burn Treatment. The method is amazingly wonderful especially when salvaging poorly lit photos with great angles.

The original shot was taken in my office against my window amidst all my clutter, using natural light and my old 5D MK1. Everything else was done in post (obviously). As a result, a retro chic look, with shades of 80′s flair. I thoroughly hope you enjoy this shot, it’s certainly a milestone in my evolution as both a designer and photographer. Cheers.
