Here’s a special set of four places on Oahu which I was able to capture during my adventures. This is a follow up to my previous post Scenics By Ulatan– HAWAII. The approach this time was to simply showcase the splendor of these views with as little stylizing as possible.

This is my lovely friend Marina. Here are a few portraits showcasing her fierce, fiery and enchanting elegance in a variety of looks and styles. It was a dream come true finding her. I do hope these photos are successful in conveying how beautiful she actually is in person.

My homegirl Lauren wanted to dance her socks off around Chinatown and climb a horse. We did so late night and made the bums go crazy. This was a fun little photoshoot documenting the music in the streets. SDeezy represent in the 808!

Here is a portrait set of my two homies Jermel and Fetia. We did this late night guerrilla style on the streets of Honolulu, before we were asked to leave by security. Still managed to capture some epic shots. Enjoy…

Below are a couple of scenic photos shot during my stay in Oahu in November 2011. They are two which I wanted to showcase the beauty of the island in different and fresh way. Using the Flare Burn Treatment (which I am currently perfecting), I hope to have achieved such a feat. With this technique, I wanted to give the shots the theme of “clockwork” as it symbolizes the aim to freeze these awesome views of paradise. Many thanks to the fam DJ Packo for his hospitality. Below is my self portrait for 2012. Using a few steps that I’ve toyed with from my  Leticia Ribeiro Camp set, fueled my inspiration for this technique which I call, the Flare Burn Treatment. The method is amazingly wonderful especially when salvaging poorly lit photos with great angles.

The original shot was taken in my office against my window amidst all my clutter, using natural light and my old 5D MK1. Everything else was done in post (obviously). As a result, a retro chic look, with shades of 80′s flair. I thoroughly hope you enjoy this shot, it’s certainly a milestone in my evolution as both a designer and photographer. Cheers.
